Our Philosophy

At Kniticality, we want you to succeed and learn the skills to make anything you can imagine. Our founder, Amy Johnson, has taken her own experiences as a student to heart as a teacher of knitting and crochet. Whether you are brand-new to the craft or looking for a challenge, you'll find the resources you need right here at Kniticality.

Coming up: August Classes and Events

August is HOT, lace is COOL! August is lace month at Kniticality!  In class, we're featuring wonderful laces at all experience levels just for you. Cornelia Mee's exquisite shawl and the Williwaw sweater/top are just two of them. This month's one-day workshops feature a Survey of European Lace as well as a collection of Lace votives to make for your home. The August Third-Thursday Potluck will be August 17th, so get out those fun recipes...July was a blast so don't miss August! Start at the beginning this month in New to Lace Knitting, or attend our FREE Chart reading seminar. Finally, Kniticality is participating in a nationwide effort to reframe the discussion around the immigration issue! You can join us by making a Welcome Blanket in our weekly group meeting every Saturday morning at 10am. Check the August calendar for our weekly open stitch/sit-n-stitch groups, and to see the full lineup of classes, or you can click HERE. Let's do it together!

In store we have the amazing Trunk Show pieces from her book, Madder Anthology 2 by Carrie Bostic Hoge until August 20. New to us this month is a collection of local fabulosity, hand-dyed by Yarn Experiments. Located in Greenville, SC, Monica Stegall-Nunez of Yarn Experiments created the NC Tribes colorways just for Kniticality. "I based each colorway on the dress and paint of North Carolina's native peoples." We are over the moon about these bright, speckly colors and can't wait to share them with you. Welcome, Yarn Experiments!
